Lay out your tiles first to determine how much space needs to be sealed between each row. A tight 1 8 grout space will allow the pattern to flow nicely from one tile to the next. Next rinse the area thoroughly and use a cloth to wipe the surfaces clean. There is less irregularity with rectified tiles so less spacing is needed between each piece.

Allow the paste to set for a few minutes to work its magic and then give the grout lines one more agitating scrub for good measure. When installing tiles in a shower the grout is an ordinary portland cement mixed with powdered pigments and water. A rectified edge allows for smaller grout lines because the tile has been more precisely cut unlike our other handmade tiles. Epoxy grout is the best choice for showers because is water and stain resistant and requires no sealing.

Spaces larger than 1 8 inch need sanded grout.
