This is frustrating but you will learn to keep several mats on hand at different levels of stickiness for different things. How to clean a cutting mat i use nail polish remover on my silhouette mats and it works great ryann s. It s a cheap alternative with a way too sticky adhesive initially and then it doesn t hold worth anything once you try to de sticky the mat like the classic actual silhouette mats. I m not favouring one brand over the other just sharing my experience in the hope of helping other crafters prevent a similar situation. The mat starts out waaaayyy too sticky and it will eat your paper or the backing on your vinyl.
